Back for 2022

  • by

It’s been a while since I wrote my last post. It was the longest break I’ve taken since I started writing this blog at the end of 2020, and I honestly felt very guilty about taking it. But it was necessary for me to take a step back, enjoy time with my family, and rest.

Burnout is real. And this time it manifested in me wanting to completely block out everything work-related. But now I’m back, and I’m feeling refreshed and excited for 2022. And I’m determined to get past the noise and the fear of this pandemic that just won’t end and move forward no matter what happens.

This year, I plan to shoot more and learn more. And I plan to put myself out there. I’m studying fashion and sewing, and I want to learn to sketch. I plan to write more and finally get a literary agent to help publish my book. Step by step, I will make things happen. I will gain knowledge because I know that the more knowledge from books and from practice that I have, the more I can achieve and the greater I can make my achievements.

Time blocking will be key, this year, as will having more patience, efficiency, and time off. Yes, time off. Because without that, I’ll slip back to burnout. I plan to eat better, sleep better, taking more time away from the screen. I plan to focus a little more on myself and a lot less on worrying about what other people think.

I plan to make 2022 great and not let things happening outside of me, things I can’t control affect my determination.
